Art Workshop w/ Keerat Kaur

Dissecting Calligraphy & Paint with Keerat Kaur!

Join us for an opportunity to engage in art and conversation with art expert Keerat Kaur. We hope to create an intimate space for young artists and creatives alike to explore themes that connect the sanctity of food and farming with principles represented in Sikh literature.

The event structure will include a personal introduction and will then move into an intimate painting session. During this time, attendees will have the chance to create their own art pieces and to learn first hand from Keerat Kaur. The attendee will be taught how to calligraphy specific texts within Sikh literature and to draw a corresponding fruit.

Event Schedule (2-hour event):

1:00 PM CST - SHM introductions

1:05 PM CST - brief introduction by Keerat Kaur

1:45 PM CST - walk-through: creating your own art piece
