Person of the Year: H.S. Phoolka

Harvinder Singh Phoolka embodies what it means to be Sikh through his service as a politician and human right activist. Singh has been leading a 35-year long legal battle in pursuit of justice for victims of 1984 Sikh genocide. His unwavering dedication and resilience is a true testament of chardi kalla.

What inspires him? What encourages him to continue fighting? What is it like to challenge large political governments? Join Sikh Heritage Manitoba for an open conversation regarding H.S. Phoolka’s experience with justice and 1984.

We are thrilled to partner with the Sikh Heritage Museum of Canada, in bringing the “Timelines Exhibit” to Winnipeg for the first time.

Join us for the Chardi Kalla Ardaas to launch Sikh Heritage Month Manitoba and  Sikh Heritage Museum of Canada “Timelines” exhibit launch.

An ardaas for the chardi kalla, togetherness, and the well being of our community as we officially recognize the launch of Sikh Heritage Manitoba. Official unveiling of the Sikh Heritage Manitoba poster will accompany remarks by the Government, and conclude with an announcement of the programming in place for Sikh Heritage Month Manitoba.

Winnipeg Sikh Sangat Food Drive – Sikh Heritage Manitoba

Fill The Truck Challenge ending April 12th at The City Hall Nishān Sāhib Ceremony

Get involved and help make a difference in the lives of fellow Manitobans!

The goal is to fill a 5 tonne truck by April 12th for Winnipeg Harvest Food Bank to share food with the hungry.

Co-ordinated by Sikh Heritage Manitoba in collaboration with Khalsa Aid for Winnipeg Harvest
